Purchases & Premium Subscription
Receipt Scanner uses two separate types of payment, both processed by Apple Inc. through the App Store and subject to Apple’s terms and conditions:
- App Purchase Price: Receipt Scanner costs $0.99 USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) as a one-time purchase to download the App. This is a single, non-recurring charge.
- Premium Subscription: A separate, optional monthly or yearly subscription that unlocks additional features such as PDF export.
- Auto-Renewal: The Premium subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in accordance with App Store policy.
- Managing or Cancelling: Manage or cancel your subscription anytime in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your device.
- No Refunds From Us: All purchases, including the app price and any subscription, are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple through the App Store.
- Future Changes: We reserve the right to change the app’s purchase price, subscription pricing, or the features included in free vs. Premium tiers in future versions, with notice where required.
Scanned Data & Accuracy
Receipt Scanner uses on-device text recognition to automatically read amounts, dates, and vendor names from your receipt photos. While we aim for high accuracy:
- Automated text recognition may misread faded, damaged, or unusually formatted receipts.
- You are responsible for reviewing and correcting any scanned or auto-filled data before relying on it.
- Receipt Scanner is a record-keeping tool and does not constitute tax, accounting, or financial advice.
⚠️ Important: For tax filings, reimbursement claims, or other official purposes, always verify totals against your original receipts and consult a qualified professional where appropriate.

You retain all ownership rights to the receipt photos and expense data you create in the App. This content is stored on your device and, if enabled, in your own private iCloud account — we do not host, access, or claim any rights to it.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for keeping backups (for example, via iCloud or your own exports) of any data you wish to preserve.
